If you are like I was, you looked at yourself and went – UGH! It was then that I decided to lose some weight. I lost 35 pounds and have kept it off.
So, what does it take?
- Dedication
- Motivation
- Education
If you don’t think that you need to lose weight, then you won’t. If you haven’t taken that telling look at yourself yet, then no matter what you read, see, desire, want, spend, or decide, will make any difference in your weight or outlook. Only when you take that soul searching, weight revealing look at yourself, and decide that NOW is the time will you really do anything about your weight. The NOW part is where you decide to dedicate a certain portion of your time and energy toward what it takes to lose weight.
Next you will need to stay motivated. There are times (all too many of them) when you do not feel that you are making any progress. Sometimes you end up actually gaining weight even though you think that you have been doing all of the right things. These plateaus are normal and if you continue to make sure that you are consistent, then you will eventually have your weight loss results.
Lastly, educate yourself through getting information from your doctor, books, and through the many online resources available, such as this blog. You will learn that it is beneficial to use an exercise program along with a proper eating regimen to aid your efforts. You will also understand about the plateaus of which I was just speaking (or rather writing about). These three things used in conjunction will allow you to watch the numbers on your scale to go down go down from where they used to be when you step on it.
So, who am I?
